Paulo Fernandes is an entrepreneur and investor, who, has actively participated in an intense activity of mergers and acquisitions, as well as in the creation of business projects in diverse areas and sectors.

His involvement spans industries such as manufacturing, media, renewable energy, forestry, real estate, and the healthcare sector.

Throughout his career, which began in 1982, he has held managing and leadership roles, taking a central role in a multiple renowned Portuguese public companies, including Altri, Cofina, Ramada, and Greenvolt.

Paulo holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Porto and an MBA from Nova School of Business and Economics.

Pedro advises on the origination, execution, and operation of direct investments at Actium.

He began his career as a strategy consultant at NOS and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Pedro then spent seven years in financial advisory where most recently he was a Business Modelling & Analytics Manager at Deloitte UK. Pedro has a wealth of corporate finance experience, having worked on multiple transactions, development of portfolio monitoring solutions and restructuring projects. Prior to joining Deloitte UK, Pedro was an investor relations associate at Kennedy Wilson, a real estate investment fund.

Pedro graduated from the International MBA programme at IE Business School. He holds an MSc in Management from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Management from Royal Holloway.

Pedro oversees all matters pertaining to Actium’s multi-asset global portfolio allocation, to the analysis of new investment opportunities and to deal structuring and negotiation.

Pedro began his career as an equity sales trader during the European Sovereign Debt crisis. Later, as a portfolio manager, Pedro developed a quantitative approach to macro positioning and momentum trading, which consistently delivered successful investment outcomes. Throughout the years, he took on further responsibilities in cross-division business development initiatives, in capital markets and wealth management, and spearheaded several fund-raising efforts. Prior to joining Actium Capital, Pedro was head of an investment unit within one of Portugal's largest Private Banking divisions. In this role, he oversaw a dedicated team responsible for offering a comprehensive multi-asset investment strategy service, regularly working alongside Investment Banking and Capital markets teams on private asset deals and public offerings.

Pedro's educational background includes an MSc in Finance and a BSc in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE). He also holds a master’s degree in international management from CEMS, earned through a joint program between Nova SBE and Rotterdam School of Management.

Francisco began his career as an investment banking analyst at Rothschild & Co in London, where he was part of the energy and power coverage team, working on both sell-side and buy-side transactions across the renewable energy, power, and oil & gas sectors.

Before joining Actium, Francisco spent four years at Fidelidade, initially in the corporate strategy team and later in the M&A team. During this time, he played a key role in significant cross-border acquisitions and capital market transactions, particularly in the insurance and healthcare sectors.

He holds an MSc in Financial Analysis from London Business School and a BSc in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics.
